Most of the tools that we work with for self development deal with the conscious mind. Tools like Manifesting Cards, Affirmations and Vision Boards are all powerful tools to help us create a better life….

Subliminal Videos, on the other hand, are designed to program the subconscious mind. According to Wikipedia the term subconscious is defined as “existing or operating in the mind beneath or beyond conscious awareness.”

How does the mind “learn” things?  In a word….  Repetition.

Remember learning the ABC’s when you were a child?  All you had to do was to repeat “A” over and over or sing that little alphabet song until one day you found yourself knowing the entire alphabet.

The same goes for “I am wealthy” if your conscious mind does not think that you are wealthy, it will reject the words.

The subconscious on the other hand does not judge. It will simply accept the programming of “I am wealthy”… and if the subconscious mind is repeatedly told that it is wealthy, after awhile it will believe it. Your subconscious mind will expect to be wealthy… and when this happens everything in your life will begin to shift in order to support that belief.

Your conscious rational mind makes it’s decisions based on what has been programmed into your subconscious mind.

When you see a million dollar mansion, your conscious mind – in a fraction of a second – reaches down into your subconscious mind and decides how it wants to react to the visual of a million dollar mansion.

How you view it is completely dependent on what you have programmed your subconscious mind  over all the your years of life.

Some will see it and think “It must be nice”…. or “Wish I could have one of those”…. or “wonder who they robbed to get that”.

If you believe that money is bad, or that being a millionaire is somehow bad, you are going to push that away from you. You will keep yourself from ever feeling welcome to having a million dollar mansion.

What if you could program your subconscious mind to accept the belief that you are wealthy and that you live in a million dollar mansion?

Suddenly, all is quite.

I look at the clock… 1:11 and smile.

Turns out we had a 2.8 magnitude earth quake.

Not something you experience everyday in Washington State.

Ever been too grumpy to feel good?

Feeling good is of course a positive power in your life.  Feeling peace, love and joy, is good for your body because it lowers your blood pressure and releases chemicals inside your body that makes it generally run better.

The law of attraction tells us that we are attracting ideas, people and circumstances based on what we think and on how we feel.  So whenever you are grumpy, you are doing yourself a disservice.

It may seem difficult to feel good at the time, but that is an illusion.  It takes no effort to feel inner peace.  Peacefulness  is your natural state of being….  It takes effort on your part NOT to feel this inner bliss-filled peace.

If you relax your muscles from all tension..  and relax your mind from excess thoughts…  what you will find yourself with is a state of absolute peace and joy.

It takes effort on your part to tense your muscles – without effort they are relaxed and calm.

It takes effort on your part to create a busy mind – without effort your mind is relaxed and clam.

So whenever you find yourself grouchy, angry, upset, anxious or any other state that doesn’t feel good…  you need to know that it is you that have created that state of being… and it took considerable effort on your part.

It’s easy to blame it on external things, such as events in your world or people who say and do things that “make you” feel uncomfortable.  – but that is an illusion as well.  No one can make you feel angry, scared, grouchy or anxious without your permission.

Ultimately it is your choice on how to react to the people and events in your life.  You can focus on the good or on the bad.  You can get angry or you can remain calm.  It really is your choice.   You create your world.

ME…  I still get grouchy on occasion.  I even get mad.  The huge difference is that I now know that I have a choice.  If I find myself grouchy or angry, I know that I momentarily forgot the power that I have.  The power to choose how I feel.

I don’t want to feel angry, anxious or grumpy…   so when I become aware of my feelings I take steps to change them.  That is something that I never did in the past.

Self awareness will change your life forever.

To feel nothing, some would argue, is to not be alive. I am not suggesting that you go through life feeling nothing.  On the contrary…  I am merely asking you to be aware of the fact that you have control over how you feel and for how long you feel that way.

How does one do that?

Simply relax and stop making yourself miserable…  now… right in the moment.  Don’t finish whatever it is that you are doing.  Don’t continue to dwell on how so-and-so is wrong and how you are right…  let it go and allow yourself to feel good NOW.

One of the easiest ways I have found to feel better immediately with very little effort or thought on my part is to use binaural beats.

The concept is that if one receives a stimulus with a frequency in the range of brain waves, the predominant brain wave frequency is said to be likely to move towards the frequency of the stimulus (a process called entrainment). I wanted to share some of the photos I snapped while on my family trip to Yellowstone National Park.   They are all taken with my humble point and shoot Canon SD600.  Those of you who know, that means this camera only has a 3x zoom, so everything I photograph has to be pretty close.

It’s an amazing feeling to see the wildlife living along side of humans like this.  We saw deer, rabbits, and antelope relaxing inside residential areas.  None of them showed any fear.

These buffalo have specific spots that they like to lay in.  When you come across these little bare spots with no grass or plants…  that’s a buffalo bed.  Many of them like to make these beds right next to the road, although it would be unwise to leave your car and approach these magnificiant creates, because they have been known to attack people.

Yep, you can see bears from the road too!

This Grizzly Bear was pretty far up the hillside when we spotted him.  As we watched him, more and more cars began to park around us and eventually the road became blocked as people left their cars in the middle of the road.  Meanwhile this Grizzly Bear marched down the hill to see what all the comotion was about.

The offical rule of the park is to remain 25 yards away from wildlife…  except for bears and wolves.  Those you need to stay 100 yards away from, for safety.

These animals are wild.  They live off the flesh of other animals.

We were able to see with the aide of binoculars, a bear taking down an injured buffalo.  Minutes later four coyotes were able to drive away the bear and then they began eating the dead buffalo.

Rangers closed the street down when a small black bear was 20 yards near the road.  No cars were allowed to travel on the road until the bear moved away.  The rangers looked visually disturbed.

If the park Rangers had seen this….

I was amazed at how foolish these people were.  One man even brought his small child along to see the grizzly bear.  About 3 seconds after I took this picture (at my full 3x zoom) the bear stood up and made a scary noise that seemed to let the people know that they were in real danger.  He didn’t seem to happy.  He then continued to cross the road between cars and proceeded down the hill on the other side.

Lucky people.  :)


Many people do not realize that Yellowstone sits atop one of the worlds largest super volcano.  The caldera is 35 miles by 45 miles across.  The park is full of boiling water, with colorful bacteria that thrives on the high temperatures.  The smell of sulfur permeates the air in the entire southern half of the park.


Taking my five year old on these small wooden bridges without railing was a bit of a challenge at times.

The four of us made the entire trip from Washington State to Yellowstone’s north entrance in southern Montana in my wifes 2006 Kia Rio, and to be honest with you we had plenty of room.

I decided to run a test on our trip and see if I had in fact found a way to increase the gas mileage from an average of 29 MPG to 35 MPG.  I knew it would be tough, because we had four people in the car, and the trunk was packed full with our luggage.

The results of my efforts will be shared here…  VERY SOON. It’s Ready Now!
