I am not a vegan… and not a vegetarian. I don’t have any strange eating habits except that I do like to eat foods that make me feel good and foods that give me abundant energy.

But I have been a milk drinking, cheese eating dairy lover since I was a small child. I grew up drinking milk every single day in my breakfast cereal and as a snack after school and the drink served with dinner.

A while ago I cut out most of my milk drinking and replaced it with Soy milk. Of course now I am told that soy milk MIGHT be bad… mostly it’s one famous doctor who says soy milk is bad, and even though I have not seen any concrete evidence, the anti-soymilk campaign moves onward. That’s okay, because Almond milk tastes great and so does Oat milk… but I’m sure someone is already writing me an email to tell me the evils of these milks also.

WARNING: Don’t try to detox on your own…

What I want to tell you is shocking…

I had no idea. Honestly. And I like to think that I am “in the know” about a lot of things.

Yes… I did know that dairy is loaded with fat and cholesterol. That is why I limited my intake of it, reasonably.

About a week ago my wife said she had been talking to a friend of her’s and that the two of them had decided to go a week off of dairy. They wanted to know if I would join them.

She had some printed pages that touted all the health benefits, but without a moments hesitation I agreed to join them.

I grabbed the best dairy free cookbook I could find (I love this book) and I was ready to begin. Of course I ate a good deal of dairy on the weekend leading up to the Monday we began the 7 days of no dairy.

I wondered how great would I feel after a week of no dairy? Or perhaps nothing would seem different and 8 days later I would be enjoying a piece of cheese.

Mmmmm Cheese….

BOY WAS I WRONG

Giving up dairy was about as hard as I expected for the first couple of days. By the end of day two I was feeling pretty ill, which is out of the norm for me. Honestly, ever since I flipped my life upside down with the law of attraction I have become a high energy and healthy kind of guy. The kind of guy who always feels great.

Day three, instead of rolling out of bed with enthusiasm and excitement for the day ahead, I woke up feeling more tired than I was when I went to bed.

In fact, I felt groggy and brain foggy all day.

I’ll skip the day-to-day play-by-play, and tell you that for seven days straight I have felt terrible, in different ways. I can’t concentrate… I am experiencing headaches, which is something I never have.

I don’t have the deep down energy, and I tire easily. My stomach is bloated and I am retaining water.

My skin has broken out in three different kinds of rashes in three different places on my body. In general I am itchy… and honestly I am cranky. Strange emotions are coming up… anxiety and anger, which I have not felt in many… many years.

I am even late on the 11 cent sale I promised all of you…. because of this brain fog and lack of energy.

Long story short, going off dairy cold turkey causes the body to go into a detox. When I search online I find claims that going off dairy for one week will cause an entire gallon of mucus to exit your body. Obviously, things are not always pretty.

Today it is 10 days later, and I don’t have any desire to go back. Food tastes great without dairy. It seems that at the 10 day mark, for me at least, the cravings have mostly subsided.

Now many of you know that I quit smoking cold turkey the day my son was born. I was in the room with my wife and waiting for our little baby boy to be born, and I really needed a cigarette. The moment he came out and I cut that cord, I KNEW RIGHT THEN I would never smoke again, because I wanted to be around to see my son grow up. Even though I was a bar tender back then, and I worked around smokers who all tried to taunt me into picking the habit back up (many smokers can’t stand ex-smokers among them) It is a promise that I have always kept. As a matter of fact, it was Aug 1st, 1999 when I stopped smoking… 9 years and 12 days and counting…

.

I CAN HONESTLY SAY…

QUITING DAIRY IS HARDER THAN QUITING CIGARETTES

Seriously….

My body never went through this kind of hell when I quit smoking. Sure, I have cravings… and it was difficult… but I didn’t get bad breath, skin rashes, headaches, lack of energy, bloating, water retention, and a host of other not-so-pleasant physical problems.

The only craving I have is for cheese. I LOVED CHEESE. Now I know why…

THIS IS GOING TO BLOW YOU AWAY

Cheese is actually physically addictive… no kidding. I must have missed the Surgeon Generals Warning label on the block of cheese.

YOU WONT BELIEVE WHAT DRUG IS INSIDE CHEESE!!!

Check this out:

So here is an excerpt from an article in the Orlando Sentinel July 13 2003:

Of all the potentially addicting foods, cheese may be the most complex. In research studies using vegan and vegetarian diets to control cholesterol or reduce body weight, most participants soon forget the lure of ice cream, sour cream, and even burgers and chicken. But for many people, the taste for cheese lingers on and on. Yes, 70 percent of its calories may come from waist-augmenting fat, and, ounce for ounce, it may harbor more cholesterol than a steak. But that cheese habit is tough to break. Why is cheese so addicting? Certainly not because of its aroma, which is perilously close to old socks. The first hint of a biochemical explanation came in 1981, when scientists at Wellcome Research Laboratories in Research Triangle Park, N.C., found a substance in dairy products that looked remarkably like morphine. After a complex series of tests, they determined that, surprisingly enough, it actually was morphine. By a fluke of nature, the enzymes that produce opiates are not confined to poppies — they also hide inside cows’ livers. So traces of morphine can pass into the animal’s bloodstream and end up in milk and milk products. The amounts are far too small to explain cheese’s appeal. But nonetheless, the discovery led scientists on their search for opiate compounds in dairy products.

And they found them. Opiates hide inside casein, the main dairy protein. As casein molecules are digested, they break apart to release tiny opiate molecules, called casomorphins. One of these compounds has about one-tenth the opiate strength of morphine. The especially addicting power of cheese may be due to the fact that the process of cheese-making removes water, lactose and whey proteins so that casein is concentrated. Scientists are now trying to tease out whether these opiate molecules work strictly within the digestive tract or whether they pass into the bloodstream and reach the brain directly.

(some paragraphs about chocolate addiction snipped)

The cheese industry is miles ahead of them, having gone to great lengths to identify people who are most vulnerable to addiction. It dubs them “cheese cravers,” and tracks their age, educational level and other demographics so as to target them with marketing strategies that are tough to ignore. With a $200 million annual research and marketing budget, the dairy industry is not content to have you just sprinkling a little mozzarella on your salad. It is looking for those Americans who will eat it straight out of the package, whatever the cost to their waistlines or cholesterol levels.

At a “Cheese Forum” held Dec. 5, 2000, Dick Cooper, the vice president of Cheese Marketing for Dairy Management Inc., laid out the industry’s scheme for identifying potential addicts and keeping them hooked. In his slide presentation, which was released to our organization under the Freedom of Information Act, he asked the question, “What do we want our marketing program to do?” and then gave the answer: “Trigger the cheese craving.” He described how, in a partnership with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the dairy industry launched Wendy’s Cheddar Lover’s Bacon Cheeseburger, which single-handedly pushed 2.25 million pounds of cheese during the promotion period. That works out to 380 tons of fat and 1.2 tons of pure cholesterol in the cheese alone. A similar promotion with Pizza Hut launched the “Ultimate Cheese Pizza,” which added an entire pound of cheese to a single pizza and sold five million pounds of it during a six-week promotion in 2000. The presentation concluded with a cartoon of a playground slide with a large spider web woven to trap children as they reached the bottom. The caption had one spider saying to another, “If we pull this off, we’ll eat like kings.”

I am sharing this with you because I care. I wish someone had told me how harsh detoxing could be.

I wish someone had told me how addictive Cheese can by. Or even mentioned the morphine compound found inside.

I’m the kind of guy who turns down pain pills, even after a surgery…

I never knew I was ingesting Morphine with my cheese and crackers.

So if you decide to clean your body up… and want to cleanse yourself without all the horrible side-effects that I have had… you really need to READ THIS NOW.

Overwhelmingly I support the Master Cleanse if you want to purify your body.

Me… I just made a split second decision to join my wife and her friend… I decided to make myself the subject of an experiment if you will…

For those of you wondering about my wife and her friend. YES… they had a rough ride also, including migraine headaches (much worse than mine), irritability, skin breakouts (body acne), and emotional instability (although don’t tell my wife I pointed that out… at least not until she is over the detoxing)

And that is what they cared to share… most people are not as forthcoming with their dirty details like I am. What can I say… I try to live my life like an open book… for all to see, observe and hopefully learn from my mistakes.

Oh yes… there has been a positive thing about this diary detox so far…. I have lost 5 pounds even though I feel like I am eating more than usual, and my wife has lost 4 pounds.. her friend didn’t offer up any weight related conversation.

SO… if you want to go off dairy please don’t let this scare you. Instead, just do it slowly. If I had known then what I know now, I would have simply cut my intake of dairy items down over a 2 – 3 week period and went off it slowly.

Knowing what I know now… I just can’t bring myself to ingest anything dairy.

Wishing you the best day,

Oh my gosh there is so much going on here that I don’t know where to begin.

It’s been two weeks since my last post here. It’s amazing how fast time goes by.

I am back from my family vacation to Yellowstone National park. We had a blast! There was a lot more there to see than I had ever been told.

Best of all, I was testing a product that can save all of us hundreds of dollars each month and the results look great! I still have to crunch some more numbers, and I’m not a big fan of math… but I can already see how this is going to save me money.

The only question at this point is just how much money are we all going to save each month?

Even if you save just $100 a month, that’s better than getting a 60 cent raise at an hourly job, and with no additional taxes!

Don’t worry, I am more than happy to share my results with you.

Stay tuned.

Why have I never heard of this Stan Meyer before? In fact, when I type his name into Google I find 591,000 results.

If I were into conspiracy theories I would certainly have heard of Stan Meyer. His death has sparked conspiracy theories and heated debate all over the Internet. His life and untimely death echo that of the great Nikola Tesla.

Scientifically I was still not convinced…. then I came across this Fox News story about another inventor, Denny Cline.

This is a Fox News story about a man who invented a new gas which is created from water and electricity! He initially developed a torch for cutting metals, but then realized that he could convert his automobile to run on just ounces of water a day.

Denny Cline’s invention is a process for converting water into HHO gas using a form of electrolysis that he is patenting.

I do not doubt this this is possible…but I still have to wonder how much electricity is needed in order to convert the water into fuel. That seems to be the sticking point at least from my point of view.

If you have Run Your Car On Water please leave me a comment on this message thread.

We have a water cooler in our home because my family and I drink a lot of water. Even the neighbor kids love to drink water when they can get it ice cold from a water cooler.

I was carrying in one of the large 5 gallon jugs to put on top of the cooler when it struck me. This 5 gallon water jug weighs about 40 lbs. It’s not surprising that when I am carrying one I can feel the strain in my back and in my legs. Because the jugs have a handle built into them, I often carry them two at a time. That’s 10 gallons of water and over 80lbs.

Here’s What IS Surprising

I have lost over 100lbs in weight. That means that I have lost more weight than two 5 gallon water jugs. When I am carrying all this water and feeling the strain it puts on my body…. I know that my body use to have that strain on it everywhere I went.

I can’t quite wrap my mind around that. How could I lose the weight of 12 gallons of water? Logically I would presume that the volume to fat and water would be similar, but I simply can not imagine that I had an added body volume equivalent to 12 gallons of water.

It certainly puts things into a new perspective.

WARNING : I really want you to know the shocking truth to weight loss…. but….. well… it can be scary. So I wanted to warn you first.

In this hectic world of ours most of us are constantly on the look out for a good deal. Whenever I am making an online purchase and I find the box that says “coupon code” on the order page, it often pays to simply type in the name of the vendor and the word coupon into Google.com and see what comes up.

Godaddy.com for example almost always has a coupon running that will save you 5% – 20% on your order. When I am purchasing domains I simply type in “godaddy coupon” into Google and visit the top pages that show up in the results and quickly get a coupon such as “BTPS7” which gives me 20% off my order of $50 or more.

There is another side to coupons though… a darker side if you will. Many people online are addicted to saving money and they may spend hours searching for a coupon to save a few bucks. Some will even refuse to make a purchase at all unless they find a coupon for the site in question.

How does coupon shopping cost you money?

1) If you spend more than a few minutes of your time searching for a coupon, you are losing money on lost time. Time is your most valuable resource. No matter how much money you have you can never purchase more time.

There are people who will spend 4 hours searching for a $5 coupon. Now ask yourself how much money could you have earned during that 4 hours? Even with an hourly job paying minimum wage (in Washington State) you would have made $30. If you work from home like me, you could have set up a stream of income that would bring in $100’s of dollars month after month.

2) You risk setting up a mindset of lack.

What kind of mindset/vibration are you putting off when you spend hours looking for a coupon to save a few dollars? While you search the net for a coupon to save $5 you are thinking like someone who is needy and who is living in lack. You are in a desperate state of lack… and the Law of Attraction says that you will attract more of that lack into your life.

Honestly if you can’t afford to purchase something because you don’t have a $5 coupon, I think you may want to make a serious change in your life to fix that lack you are creating.

In Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad, Poor Dad book, he tells the many lessons he learned as a child by watching his dad and his best friends dad. His dad had a large house and appeared wealthy while his friends dad had a small run down house and appeared poor.

His dad would spend a lot of time looking for sales and coupons to save money to maintain his lifestyle, while his friends dad would spend all his time shopping around and searching for things to buy which made him money.

In the end, as you may guess, poor dad who lived humbly and purchased things that made him more money becomes a multi-millionaire, while rich dad is left struggling with a large mortgage payment.

The moral of the story is if you focus on using your time to bring you money, you will have more money. If you spend your time focusing on how to get something cheaper because you can’t afford it, you will live a life where you can’t afford everything you desire and you will always be searching for coupons and sales.

As a side note… Robert Kiyosaki has created an entire line of products based around his original book Rich Dad poor Dad. I own a lot of his books, but if you don’t have a lot of time and you want to get to the heart of his wisdom so that you can begin making changes in your life today, I highly recommend Rich Dad’s – 60 Minutes to Getting Rich

Just a warning to all my loyal readers:

.

Obopay is a new company who claims you can use any mobile phone to get, send or spend money. They want to be the cellphone version of eBay owned Paypal.

WARNING: Read The Small Print…
…weekly because it changes!

When I signed up with Obopay they issued me a MasterCard debit card and I funded it with $15 as a test. This is supposed to be the easiest way to get your money out of Obopay… just use the debit card anywhere they take MasterCard.

Honestly I never found a reason to use Obopay. I do a lot of shopping online, and I never came across something online that even accepted Obopay. So I just kept the card in my wallet for months.

A couple of days ago I got a letter from Obopay telling me that they were canceling the MasterCard debit card program on March 24, 2008. So I decided I better go spend that $15 that I have had sitting in my account for six months or so.

When I went to spend it, it didn’t work. After logging into my account, I found that instead of $15 on my card, I only had 15 cents left on it, even though I had never used it.

It turns out that they changed the terms of their service secretly on Nov 27, 2007. On that day, they began charging $4.95 per month for… well…. to be honest I have no idea what the fee is for. They simply call it a Monthly Maintenance Fee. So over the next three months they quietly removed $14.85 from my account.

I contacted the customer support and I was told this:

“…we have had the changes to the fees posted on our website since October available for your perusal..”

I guess they expect everyone to check their terms and conditions page every week in anticipation of any changes they decide to make. They now offer to pay you $5 just for signing up with Obopay… of course at the end of the month they will take $4.95 of that money away.

My advice is to stay away from Obopay completely. Any company that wants to charge hidden fees on their customers, just for the right to be their customer, is not a company that I want to do business with.

I can keep as much money as I like in my Paypal account without worrying about any hidden fees removing my money in the middle of the night.

The act usually ends with the hypnotized person doing something embarrassing such as clicking like a chicken or acting like a baby.

Thankfully, when you visit a licensed hypnotherapist, you quickly find that they have very little in common with the stage performance.

The effectiveness of hypnosis has been proven in many studies. For instance, the National Institutes of Health has approved hypnosis as a relaxation method that can treat chronic pain.

According to the Mayo Clinic, studies show that hypnotherapy may help:
· Change negative behaviors, such as smoking, bed-wetting and overeating
· Reduce or eliminate fears, stress and anxiety
· Treat pain during childbirth and reduce labor time
· Control pain during dental and surgical procedures
· Relieve symptoms associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
· Lower blood pressure
· Control nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy
· Reduce the intensity or frequency of headaches, including migraines
· Treat and ease the symptoms of asthma
· Hasten the healing of some skin diseases, including warts, and psoriasis

In fact, you may be surprised to learn that hypnosis is one of the world’s fastest growing industries, in part because it is officially recognized by the medical profession. A typical hypnosis session with a hypnotherapist will cost an average of $100.

For someone who is actively working in self development and self improvement, the benefits to hypnosis are overwhelming. At a $100 a session, however, it can become costly if you wish to incorporate it into many different areas of your life.

That’s what I thought until I found these Hypnosis Scripts

At first I was doubtful that a hypnosis script would be as effective as a licenses hypnotherapist. What I found, however, was that these are the exact hypnosis scripts used by hypnotherapist around the world.

In fact, Hypnosis Scripts sells scripts directly to hypnotherapists!

I had never given it much thought, but now I can see that it makes sense that every hypnotherapist would want to be using the same or similar tools in order to get the same or similar results. We all know this to be true of medical doctors, so it would seem obvious that in hypnois the tool is the script that is used on the patient.

Hypnosis Scripts has over 250 scripts available on their website, and the prices are very reasonable. They have hypnosis scripts in just about every category you can imagine. Some of the better ones I have found are: Self-Confidence, Ultimate Weight Loss, Release Your Past, Deep Relaxation, Cure Stage Fright (no matter how many times I have to speak in front of a room, I still get nervous) and Increase Your Energy.

I also picked up “Stop Smoking”, “Stop Panic Attacks” and “Irritable Bowel Syndrome” for people that I know.

I knew that hypnosis was effective against fears and phobias, but I had no idea how many fears people had until I saw the list of the hypnosis scripts for fears. I think you might be shocked at how many things people are afraid of also.

The claim is that you can use these scripts on yourself and reap full benefits, but I am skeptical that it is as effective as going to a hypnotherapist. We all know how powerful the mind is, and it is the mind, after all, that we are working with in hypnosis. I would guess that the presumed authority of a hypnotherapist, along with the environment of a professional office, would give the mind more credibility and thereby make hypnosis done by a licenses therapist more effective.

Nonetheless these scripts are the same tools used by licensed hypnotherapists. You can save a lot of time and money by downloading them instantly and you can begin to benefit from their use right away.

My mom called me up last night and asked me if I could call a phone number for her to see if it was a legitimate home business opportunity. She knows that I work at home and that I have had months where I made more in one month than she made all year at her hotel job.So I wrote the phone number down and told her I would call it. I asked her what she knew about the business, and what she knew was amazingly little. She didn’t even know the name of the product or what exactly she would be doing. She said the infomercial did say that you could start with no money down.

I was fairly certain it was a scam, since any real home business is going to tell you what you are doing up front and they certainly don’t hide the company name from the public. For example, I work for myself, but I was trained in part by the materials inside Your Wealth Course .  Any legitimate business will want their name mentioned as many times as possible and the same thing goes with their product.  Right there, on the first page it explains what it is that you will learn to do to make money online.

If the ad doesn’t tell you the name of the company, the product or service, and it doesn’t explain what you will be doing, you can be fairly certain it is a scam of some kind. While you certainly wouldn’t expect a small magazine ad to have the space to go into detail of the inner workings of the business, you should certainly have an idea of what the business does and what the name of the company is. Can you imagine someone handing you a business card without a company name on it?

Let’s face it, there is is probably is no bigger group of scams online than those offering a “Home Based Business” opportunity. You find these ads all over the internet, on television and inside magazines. They are usually glossy full color ads promising instant riches and tons of free time with very little work.

The biggest red flag indictating that it is a scam is lack of clarity. It should be very clear to you what is being sold or what you will be doing if you become part of the opportunity. Often, elaborate marketing text and graphics hide the fact that clarity is missing.

In the case of my moms so-called home business opportunity, it was the fast talking Don Lapre. As soon as I called the number I was assaulted by Don Lapre assuring me I was about to become rich. I recognized his voice from his past scams and am well familiar with his personal history, including how he recently filed for his second bankruptcy, all the while pretending to teach people how to be rich like him.

I had to listen for 15 minutes before he finally mentioned once, just once, the product name. The Greatest Vitamin in the world. Ripoff report has 61 open cases filed If you type in “Don Lapre” you find 119 cases filed. I am not a fan of the Quackwatch site, because the site is very pro pharmaceutical and against anything natural, but they have some interesting information on Don Lapre.

Luckily, my mom has me to look out for her, but millions of people fall prey to these kind of scams every year. In this case, no money needed turns out to be $35 and then they upsell you into all sorts of stuff and many people end up thousands of dollars into it. Let’s not forget the value of your time. Even if you did only put $35 in, how much is 2 months of promoting a product to not get paid a penny worth to you? Your time is worth a lot more than the lure of a cheap entry fee of $35.

Any real home business is going to have a significant start up cost. You can’t honestly expect to make $100,000 a year or more with a $35 business. If that were true everyone would be doing it. Expect to spend between $1,000 – $10,000 to get started in most legitimate home based businesses.

Research any company offering you a work at home business. Ask for references of other people who are working the business. Find out exactly what you would have to do in order to work this business from your home and make sure you are capable of doing it. Also important is to make sure that you will have all the training that you need, .

If you want to learn how to earn money from home while working for YOURSELF, and you want total freedom to work in any field you desire, I really reccomend you check out www.YourWealthCourse.com   There is no greater reward than to spend your life doing what makes you happy.

Good luck to all of you in your journey to work from home.

This Friday’s Home Business Article Is To Protect You From Scams Online.

“I am going to report you to the Better Business Bureau ,” is almost a cliche for a customer who feels he or she has just been taken advantage of by a company.

I have found, however, that behind the illusion of protection, the BBB has a dirty little secret. Okay, it’s not so little, it’s a giant secret, but it is pretty dirty.

I reported a company who owed me a lot of money for online advertising. I had ran their ads for their product, which I believed in, and had recommended thousands of people to them. When it came time to pay me for recommending their product, and giving them hundreds of sales, the check never came.

They offered a never ending story of excuses, including one that the check was in the mail and that it took two months for them to get it back and that they were sending a new one. No payment to me was ever made.

So after several months of dealing with this company, I filed a claim with the BBB.

I received an email from the BBB that the company had disputed my claim and that if I wished I could submit a rebuttal. Otherwise the case was resolved in the BBB eyes.

What? It turns out, that any company that simply makes a rebuttal to a claim will automatically find the claim dismissed, unless the filer of the claim takes it further. I found that a bit ridiculous, but no where near as ridiculous as what happened next.

So I did indeed file a rebuttal because the company was not telling the truth in their response to my claim. They simply made up a story about trying to pay me and being unable to. Hello, I am still here, at the same house I bought 5 years ago. Funny how all my other mail manages to find me!

The response I got from the BBB floored me. They stated that they were sorry but the company had stood by their rebuttal. The BBB also stated that they could not force this or any company to resolve a dispute, but only worked to try and get a resolution that could be agreed upon by all.

So in essence here, the BBB is absolutely worthless to anyone who is dealing with a company who is dishonest. Period. End of story.

But if the company refused to work with the consumer, then there was nothing further that could be done. The BBB said that they would create a file for this company and include the complaint.

The funniest part about all of this, is that who exactly is going to see this file that the BBB keeps on them? Only other people who find themselves being scammed by the same company. I guess this is nice for them, so that they will not feel alone.

Worse yet, after a company scams enough people, they can simply change their DBA (doing business as) name, and then they have a clean file. They don’t even have to change their bank account information or order new checks, they simply fill out a form and have a new DBA name.

Why utilize the BBB if they can do nothing but contact the company and make them aware of your complaint? I think I did a good enough job at that myself. Considering that I had to provide the companies address and/or phone number in order to file the claim, it would seem obvious that I already know how to contact them. So what purpose does the BBB serve?

So whatever you do, do not think a clean report at the BBB means anything and know upfront that if you have a problem, the BBB is absolutely powerless to help you.

The best advise I can give you is to research any company you intend to deal with online. Make sure they have a long track record and a clean track record. If you can’t find anything out about the company, don’t deal with them.

HONEST WORK FROM HOME PROGRAM

The company that ripped me off has changed their name three times, as far as I can track, the actual number could be much, much higher.
