I had a HIGHLY productive day.  Far more productive than normal, even though I was taking time to stop and be in the moment.

I also kept finding myself looking at the clock and being surprised that it was so much earlier than I expected.  By 12 noon it felt like 3:30 (when my kids come home from school).

It was almost as if time had slowed down for the day, which makes sense if you think about it.

Remember when you were a kid?  The days went on forever.  Time moved slower then.  The older you get the faster time seems to move along.  Is it a coincidence that kids spend more time “living in the moment” than adults?  Perhaps there is a connection.

In summary, here is what Living in the moment did for me:

• Drastically improved my mood
• Slowed time
• Increased productivity

What a wonderfully easy, and free tool to use.

I am totally engrossed in the beauty of this moment.  Time stands still.  The purple of the flowers become more vivid and the beauty of the moment overtakes my senses.  I feel the heat of the sun on my face intensify.  A cool breeze removes the heat and it feels wonderful as it passes.  My hair tickles my forehead.

The bumble bee leaves the flowers and buzzes around me before he flies off.

Goodbye friend.

Moments like these are always happening, but when you take time to stop and notice them the joy from childhood returns.  There are no ordinary moments in life.  You’ve just been missing them.

HOMEWORK: Take a moment today to watch and to listen to this wonderful world we are passing through.  Really watch and listen without judgement.  Become engrossed in the moment.  It doesn’t matter where you are, there is a beauty to life everywhere and inside every single thing.

These are the moments that make life special.  It’s hard to remember, but you used to live from one amazing moment to the next when you were a child.   Everything was new and exciting.

The only thing that has changed since then is you.

Slow down.

Enjoy the moment.

Enjoy being alive.

I had a wonderful time in Sedona, and to be honest with you it was hard for me to leave.  I visited some very special and sacred spots (not pictured) and had a most enlightening meditation.

I can’t shake being drawn to Sedona.   Not just for another visit, but as an amazing place to live.

How often do you hear that?

Not often enough, I am sure.

Most of us are too hard on ourselves and we spend far too much time focusing on the one thing we did wrong that day and forget to praise all the wonderful things we are doing everyday.

You really are a great person who is getting better everyday in every way.  The mere fact that you are reading this is proof of that.  So try not to be so hard on yourself.

Remember, focus on what you want… not on what you don’t want.

So what if you make a mistake here and there.  That is to be expected.  No one…  (and I mean NO ONE) is perfect.

So give yourself the praise you need, and tell yourself how great you truly are!

Yes and No.

Can they actually backfire?

Yes. Let me explain:

The two most powerful times to use a daily affirmation is when you first wake up before you get out of bed, and the last thought you have just before you go off to sleep. Those are the best times to program your subconscious mind. Certainly, the more times each day the better, but those two times pack the most impact.

Now, let’s say that your affirmation is “My body is completely healthy and lean” and it’s  the first thing you say every morning and the last thing you think before you drift off to sleep each night.

Will these words make you healthy and lean?

NO.

Words have no power in the law of attraction. If you say that you are healthy and lean everyday it will have no attraction power by itself. None. Zip. Zero. You might as well say you are the king of Egypt for all it matters.

It is the feeling that activates the attraction. Feeling is the vibration that goes out from you into the universe and actively attracts to you. Hollow words with no feelings attached have no power whatsoever.

So to make an affirmation have any power at all, you have to have to FEEL that which you are saying. In the example above, many people who are overweight will affirm that they are thin, but inside they are FEELING even fatter as they say the affirmation because they know it is a lie. Day in and day out, the affirmation is resulting in the FEELING of being fat, so you are in essence attracting more of being fat, not being thin. Thus, the affirmation backfires completely.

The universe does not speak English, Spanish or any other spoken or written language. The universe runs completely on vibration. Vibrations in you are powered by feelings. So if you want to have or be something, you have to vibrate at that level. Words are completely unnecessary to the universe, but they can be helpful for you to get you into that state of vibration.

If you can feel thin, without any words at all, then consider that your daily affirmation. IF you need words to make you feel thin, then use the words, but remember it is the feeling that counts. Pay attention to what you are feeling when you say the affirmation.

Remember, all affirmations are to be said (and felt) in the present tense, never the future. For example you never affirm that you are GOING TO BE anything, because what you are putting out into the universe is a constant message of “going to be” , and not actually being or having that you desire. That is never a good place to be stuck.

If you want to be healthy, feel healthy now and be thankful now for your great health. If you want to have money, feel having money now and be thankful for the tons of money you currently have. Like attracts like. You don’t want to attract “Someday being rich” to yourself.

Gratitude is a powerful vibrational feeling, so it can be used to begin almost any affirmation.
Some great examples of affirmations are:

I am so grateful that:
Money comes to be easily and frequently
My life flows through grace and ease
I have the house of my dreams
That universe is supporting me in my every effort

I wanted to move through the course quickly so I could give an honest review of this product in a timely manner and…

well…  I figured that I could advance quicker since I already have experience in meditating.

The official recommendation is to listen to each 30-minute level once per day, six days a week, for a whole month. Then you move onto the next level – finishing all six levels within six months.

I finished four levels in 2 months. – I found each level to be better than the one before it, and found each higher level allowed me a deeper meditation.

After listening I did felt more relaxed. My head was less “foggy” – and I enjoyed an increase in focus and clarity.

Even on Disc 1 I found it easy to allow my worries to float away.

It was on week 5 that I felt a large shift occur.  I noticed that I was sleeping less (about 6 hours a night) and that I was unusually calm no matter what was going on around me.

I felt lighter…  almost like an invisible burden had been lifted from me.

I was using Disc 3 when I hit a complete moment of stillness.  A moment when time appeared to stop and everything turned white.  It was an amazing moment.  I almost wrote about it on that day, but I knew I would be asked what it was that I was using and I was not allowed to share Brain Ev with everyone yet.

During these two months my blood pressure went down 5 points… which is something I was told may happen (a good thing to be sure), but since I had changed foods in my diet during this time, I can not be certain that this was due solely to Brain EV.

You see, just because I wrote a best selling course on the Law of Attraction, doesn’t mean that I am immune from mistakes of my own!  I find it a bit funny though, since I covered this specific topic inside that course.

Here’s what happened,

Yesterday my family ran out of milk (soy milk of course, since I am still off dairy) so after getting my youngest son off to school I decided to ride my bike up to the grocery store.  The sky was clear and the sun was out and even though it was cool outside, the crisp cold of fall had not yet hit.

Everything went fine… I rode to the store and got the milk, put it in my backpack and rode back home.  It was a nice ride and it really got my heart pumping and the blood flowing.

So today, I decided I would ride even further and go to the City Hall where I can drop off my ballot at the official voting box.  But today’s ride went very different.

Today, I thought to myself “Boy, this is a long ride.  Imagine if you had to walk this far.  I wonder how long it would take?”

Now I KNOW that when you find yourself having thoughts that are not in alignment with what you desire, you need to COUNTER those thoughts with thoughts that ARE in alignment with what you desire.

But instead, with legs pumping and blood flowing, I continued to think about how long of a walk this would be.  “Boy, if your bike broke down I wonder how long it would take for you to walk back?  Couple of hours at least I bet.  Walking is good exercise though, but I don’t have time for a two or three hour walk.  Hmmm…  except for hiking in the mountains I bet I’ve never walked this far.”

Up ahead I see a bunch of glass on the road and get the thought “Oh no… What if you get a flat tire?”

Now this time, I recognized the negative thought and like I normally do, I countered it with thoughts that were in alignment with what I desired.

I thought “(1) There is no way I am going to get a flat tire.  (2) I avoided all the glass by riding around it.  (3) Besides, I have tire liners inside these tires and (4) that green slime that seals small leaks”

I inserted the numbers above to show you how I had 1 negative thought, which I countered with 4 thoughts that brought me back into alignment with what I really wanted… which is this case was having tires that were in perfect condition.

Negative thoughts, or thoughts that are not in alignment with what you desire, ARE GOING to pop into your head.  There is nothing you can do about that.  It’s important to realize that you are not your thoughts.  You are in charge of choosing which thoughts to act on.

So when a negative thought enters you mind, simply counter it with thoughts that are in alignment with what you desire.  This is just one of the many tricks you have to master the law of attraction and keep your life going in the direction that you desire!

But somehow I allowed myself to go back to thinking about how long of a walk it would be as I got near City Hall.  I thought about how my wife, who is much more likely to go for a long walk than me, has not even walked beyond the grocery store.  She had never walked to city hall.

“I bet there are five or six bus stops on this main road alone, between our house and city hall.  Heck I even passed a park and ride along the way.  This would be a long walk indeed.” I thought as I pedaled my 21 speed.

I am sure you already know what happened next.

YES…  the bike broke JUST as I pulled into City Hall.  The way in which it broke was pretty dramatic.  The rear derailer (which shifts the gears) somehow managed to get stuck into the rear wheel, which not only brought me to screeching halt, but managed to bend the rear wheel, break out several spokes and completely rip off the derailer in the process.

So there I was…  standing in front of City Hall, only feet away from the official Vote Drop Box….  and I knew I was going to have to walk all the way home.

Now walking home I had plenty of time to reflect on how this was caused.  I knew I had thought about this long walk almost the entire ride.  Of course my bike broke… what did I expect?

Now to someone who does not understand the law of attraction, they would say “What a strange coincidence” and then go on with their day.  Not realizing that these “coincidences” are created by the thoughts.

So on my loooong walk back I thought to myself “Wouldn’t it be neat if someone I knew happened to see me and gave me a ride”.

Without my wanting it to, my mind answered back with “Almost everyone is at work at 1:30pm, so that is not very likely John.”…

But now I was back on my game.  I recognized that thought for what it was and I countered with “Yes… but wouldn’t that be strange.  Wouldn’t it be a strange coincidence if someone who lived on my very street saw me walking and offered me a ride”.

I wanted to walk a good ways just to see how it felt.  I could always use the exercise, and it was a nice day.  Still, I knew I had work that I wanted to do at my home office and I wanted to manifest a ride because I knew that I had manifested the crash in the first place, so it felt like a challenge.

I continued to imagine myself getting a ride from someone as I walked.  I wasn’t specific, I just imagined myself stepping up into the dark non-descript van and getting a ride.  I did this for at least another half hour when I suddenly heard someone shouting my name from a gas station that I was walking past.

“Hey John.  Hold on one minute and I’ll give you a lift” he said.

It was my neighbor Bob of all people.

The timing was perfect, because I had been walking for a long time and only had about a mile left to go, so I had gotten plenty of exercise already.

He was just entering the door to the convenience store at the gas station.  I walked up to the door and he came out and greeted me.

“Hey John,  How are you?”" asked Bob

“Doing well” I replied.  Which was true, I was doing well.  Exercise lifts my mood and always makes me feel better.  I was also having that great feeling you get when you see the law of attraction manifest something you have desired.

“Good timing seeing you on my way home,” Bob says.  “Gives me a chance to show you my new Van”.

Yes — Bob had just bought a new dark blue mini van.  I almost burst into laughter.  Instead I politely thanked him and his wife for the lift.

Here I had been visualizing myself stepping into a dark van, and yet I didn’t know anyone who even owned a dark van.    That detail never crossed my mind.

Bob had always driven a Mid Sized white car for all of the five years that I had known him. Today, he happens to be on his way home with his brand new dark van.   A dark van just like the one I had imagined coming to pick me up.

What a neat “coincidence”!

I must tell you that I didn’t begin by learning what is called “The Law of Attraction”.  In fact my wife and I began using this power in the later 90′s.   We called it “Bending Reality”.   Somehow we realized that we could bend or change our reality by using our minds.   I never thought of it as a attracting change…   and honestly I still think that our definition of “bending reality” is probably more accurate than “Law of Attraction”, which is how it has become known today.

Once I had this realization, that I could bend and change my reality, everything began changing in my life.  I think people around me noticed even faster than I did.

Looking back, I would have to say that I am as near opposite of who I use to be as is humanly possible.

I use to be very high strung and now I am relaxed.

I use to be a bouncer at a bar and I engaged in physical confrontations nightly…. Now I am a peace seeker and have not been in a any kind of physical confrontation since 1999.

I use to drink alcohol daily and now I rarely ever drink and if I do it is in moderation.

I use to be quick tempered… I use to have anxiety… I use to be stressed out all the time… I use to hold grudges for years…. Now I am the opposite of these as well.

Words can not describe it, but I live in a completely different world now.

Where I USE to attract conflicts everywhere I went, life now runs smoothly for me.

Where I use to have lack I now have abundance.

Where I use to have a job, I now have multiple streams of income.

I don’t take life so seriously now. I see messages in my environment daily… like little winks from the universe.  I often recognize external manifestations as previous internal thoughts and feelings.

Whenever I see something I desire, or a change I want to occur in life, I simply write it on my Manifesting Card and I KNOW that change will take place.  I have learned to trust in the universe to care for me.

I used to hate life and hate a lot of people… now I love life and everyone and everything in it.

I use to expect the worst and I usually received it.  Now I expect the best and usually get that.

I use to weight 120lbs more than I currently weigh, and I use to try to loose weight.

I use to attract misery to myself and I had a tendency to wallow in it.   Now I attract situations with happy endings and fun-filled adventure.

I guess my old life was spent warring with the world and focused on destruction while I am now at peace with my past and focus on creation and helping of others.

I use to serve people spirits (alcohol) for a living, which was damaging to their bodies, and now I serve people uplifting spiritual writings and focus on healing peoples spirits and bodies.

I use to save every cent I scraped together…  I was a real penny pincher. I would forgo enjoyment for the security of money in the bank.  I always expected a “rainy day”, and I often had them. I didn’t take vacations because I would rather have more money. Now I live mostly in a state of enjoyment. I take many vacations and I always know that the money will take care of itself. It always does.  I expect sunny days and that is what I tend to receive.

My life has truly done a 180 degree turn around.

Once you know the truth… really KNOW it… you can never go back.

I don’t mean forcing yourself to believe a certain thing. I don’t mean choosing to believe a certain thing. I mean discovering a truth larger than you… larger than words… once you do this… you can never turn back.

It’s similar to telling a child that there is no Santa. No matter how hard you try, once you realize that there is no Santa, you can never go back to believing in Santa. No matter how hard you try.

I have done my best to put everything I have discovered into a single course.

Every trick… not only my own, but those that I have read by works most people have never heard of.  I have gathered those books up also, and included them along with my own discoveries and put them all inside My Secret Course.
