A quest to find happiness…  with surprising results!

First off, I am lucky enough to have discovered how to make money on the internet even when I am nowhere near a computer.   Using the techniques found in the online Wealth Course, I make money everyday no matter what I am doing.  So my income barely noticed my 41 days off….

This is how I make money on autopilot

Of course I used the law of attraction to manifest a lifestyle of reliable income that created the free time I so desired.

It’s important to know that I used the manifesting cards to attract (or create) the lifestyle that I desired and then I let the universe deliver it to me.  I didn’t set out to find a way to make money online….  that is just how the universe delivered it to me.

So on my 41 days off I didn’t sit in deep meditation on top of mountain somewhere seeking the meaning of life.  No, I did meditate, but mostly I immersed myself into the things that I enjoy.

I learned how to play golf and enjoyed it tremendously.  I spent time with my friends and neighbors.  Took some family trips, went camping and did some fishing.

I also bought a lot of things that I didn’t need. A new laptop, new computer, large hard drive, garden stuff, put in a new sprinkler system, car related toys,  electronic gadgets, collectibles, luxury camping equipment and thousands of dollars of miscellaneous products.

You see, my quest was to find what makes me happy.   What exactly is it in life that produces a lasting happiness.

I think you will be surprised by the results of my experiment.

It was no surprise that those late at night infomercial products did not create a lasting happiness.  In fact, the happiest I ever felt with those products was when I watched the ad on television or read about it online.

Even though some of the products I purchased were a lot of fun at first, none of them produced lasting happiness.

Teaching my nine year old to fish….  that provided true joy.   Not the hundreds of dollars of fishing gear, not going out on the boat….  it was the teaching and spending time with him and creating that father and son bond that created a lasting happiness.

I was surprised to find how much I missed all of you.  In my rush to find happiness I neglected to realize that I enjoy this site and I enjoy my mailing list.  Reading your emails and replying to them gives me a sense of purpose.  Knowing that I am helping people while providing for my family is a great feeling.

Best of all for me was knowing that I didn’t have to work… didn’t have to lift a finger and that money would still come in.  That kind of security….  that was very comforting.

Freedom…

The Freedom to do what I want when I want to do it, that is a great feeling.  To know that each morning when I wake up I can do whatever I desire with my day….  that is priceless!

Knowing that I made money while I was sleeping….   That’s a great feeling too.

Sure, the toys and gadgets can be fun….  but at the end of the day (or the end of 41 days), its the free time that is the most important.

If you knew for a fact that using the official Secret Course would give you all the time that you needed….  the freedom do live the life you desire…  would you order it?

Of course you would.

Time is the most valuable thing you and I have.  Time is the one thing money can’t buy…

When you get a job your boss is paying you for hours of your life.  Put in 40 hours and get paid your hourly wage.

But what about the time for yourself?  Time to spend with your kids… time for romance…  time for fun.

It is completely backwards to give 5 days a week to a job and 2 days a week for yourself.

When you work online, you can reverse that and spend 2 days of week working and 5 days a week playing.

Once you have everything in place, like I do, you can take 41 days off like me and you’ll still get checks in the mail and money deposited directly into your account.

The internet runs 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.  It never closes…

Nothing feels better than making money while helping people, although making money while you sleep does come pretty close.

Knowing that while I am playing golf or fishing with my boy that I am earning money…   well….  that’s a great feeling.

In conclusion, what I found that makes me the happiest in life is time and freedom.

“Which is in control, the conscious mind or the subconscious mind?”

It is a good question, with an answer that will most likely surprise you.
Your conscious mind is that part of your mind that you are aware of.  It is what you use to decide things.  You made a conscious decision to read this article.  Because it was a conscious decision you are aware of it.

Your subconscious mind is the part of you that you are not aware of. It is always working and it acts as the lens from which you view the world.

So which one is in control?

The quick and short answer is both. But there is a catch.

THE BAD NEWS:

The bad news is that your subconscious mind, the one you are not even consciously aware of, is having a huge impact on every aspect of your life.  It determines how you view the world.  It is constantly working….  which means that it is constantly attracting and shaping your world according to the rules of the law of attraction. The subconscious mind is attracting to you every minute of the day even though you remain unaware of it’s desires.

THE GOOD NEWS:

The good news is that your conscious mind (the thoughts you are aware of) is what has programmed your subconscious mind.  How it did this was through repetition.

For Example: When you drove a car for the first time it took a lot of concentration and focus.  You had to use your conscious mind to make every adjustment to the steering wheel and remember to look in all directions and to watch for cars and people.

After years of driving, your subconscious mind became programmed (through repetition) and can now handle a lot of the driving for you.  In fact, many people don’t even remember driving for miles at a time.  I remember back when I worked at a job (ick) that required me to drive to work everyday…..  Most days I drove on auto pilot the entire drive.  It was my subconscious mind that did the driving for me.  (Side Note: I am soooo thankful I get to work from home!)

If something unusual were to happen, the subconscious mind would suddenly hand control back to the conscious mind , because it has no idea how to react to something new. So if a child suddenly ran into the road, you would suddenly find yourself consciously aware of driving and your conscious mind would have to react quickly.

That is what your conscious mind does best…  it reacts to it’s environment.

What does this have to do with the Law of Attraction?

Consider how you were brought up.  All the things your parents and teachers told you repetitively are now living a life of their own in your subconscious mind.  Your views on money, health, love, fairness, religion, morals and just about everything were shaped early on in your life.

Remember, your subconscious mind is programmed through repetition, so if you heard “money doesn’t grow on trees” or “life is hard” over and over again, guess what your subconscious mind holds to be true?

Your subconscious mind does not judge.  It does not make decisions of any kind.  It simply knows to be true what it was taught over and over again.

SO WHAT CAN YOU DO ABOUT IT?

Simple.  Think about what you want, and repeat it over and over again.  This is how you teach (or program) your subconscious mind.

Using a subliminal video (like the free one here) puts you on the fast track to re-programming your subconscious mind.  It works by showing you pleasant images, with pleasant sounds and by flashing words onto the screen that are faster than your conscious mind can read.  This allows you to bypass your conscious mind and directly program your subconscious mind.

WHY?

Your conscious mind questions things.  It debates things.  It doubts the truth of statements.  This all inhibits the programming of your subconscious mind.

For example: Pretend the words “You Are Healthy” popped up on the screen.  If the words went by so fast that you were not consciously aware of them, it will be picked up by your subconscious mind alone.  Now seeing that once will do nothing, but if you saw  “You Are Healthy” thousands of times, it would start to have an effect.  Millions of times and your subconscious mind would accept that as a fact.

BUT….  If the words “You Are Healthy” appeared long enough for you to read them consciously, your would probably think of reasons as to why that statement is not true.  You may think, “Well, my right knee has been giving me some trouble…. Oh, and I have asthma and my blood pressure isn’t so good…. My weight may be a little high… other than that I guess I am pretty healthy”.

Of course that would defeat the purpose entirely, because you just gave your subconscious mind a list of reasons as to why you are NOT healthy instead of why you ARE healthy.

It was at the fair that I discovered their money making secret.

Our friends, the Patrick’s, called us up on Friday to extend an invitation to join their family at the fair in Waterville, Washington this Saturday.  They told us there were rides, food, animals and even a rodeo. It sounded like fun, so we accepted their invitation.

Both of our families had a blast as our kids went on rides and we walked through the many animal barns.  It wasn’t until the pony rides that I noticed that Sheila was taking pictures with a very expensive looking camera.  I watched her snap twenty to thirty pictures of her daughter as she rode the pony.

We made small talk about the camera and the expensive lens that she was using and how she had a 16GB memory card installed so she was not worried at all about running low on space.  In fact, she said she could take over 2,500 pictures on that memory card.

I was impressed… but I was also a little perplexed.   It didn’t seem to make sense at the time….

But the truth was coming.

Later I found myself watching my first Rodeo.  It was a very interesting experience….  which brought up mixed feelings of excitement and sympathy.

It was here that I noticed that Michael also had a very nice camera similar to Sheila’s.  When I asked him about it he told me all the cool details about his camera.

During the fourth horse race of the night, one of the horses hit the fence and threw the rider off.  I was armed with my “shirt pocket camera”, a Canon SD 600, which although cheap in price, still takes great 5MP pictures.  I managed to capture a picture of the rider just as he was falling off the horse.

I showed the picture to Michael and asked him what he thought.  He said “Wow John, that’s a hundred dollar picture”.  I thought it was an odd expression, but he then told me that he expected to make a thousand dollars off the fair and watching the Rodeo.

I was shocked! All I do at the fair is spend money… usually a couple hundred dollars.  How in the world was he going to make money off coming to the fair and watching the free rodeo?

He showed me a picture he had taken during the accident.  It was a close-up of the horse’s leg, and it was covered in blood.  I had no idea the horse was injured.  He was deeply moved about the animals injury and was worried about the safety of the horse and the rider.

It was an amazing picture, considering the accident had taken place on the opposite side of the track. They announced that the riders (two more had fallen off during that race) were up and walking.

I decided to get some refreshments and Michael asked me to get him a strawberry lemonade.  He pulled a wad of cash out of his pocket that appeared to be all twenties and he slipped me two of them and asked if I would get everyone something to drink… on him.

Here I was thinking I am a master of the Law of Attraction, and a virtual money magnet, yet my neighbor from across the street must know something that I didn’t, because last year at this time they were struggling with money.

As I walked to the drink stand, I wondered how Michael and Sheila had the money for those expensive camera’s and why he was carrying several hundred dollars in his pocket.  I knew that Michael worked at an apple processing plant in town and Sheila was a stay at home mom with no income…  so there had to be something that I was missing.

I returned with the drinks and thanked Michael.  I was happy for him and his new found success, but I had to know….

So I just came out and asked him…

“Mike…  hope you don’t mind my asking, but things seem to be going really well for you….  couple of new cameras, pocket full of cash….”

He looked me straight in the eye…  leaned in close… and said….

“I Make Money Selling Pictures ”

“It started as something the wife and I liked to do just for fun.  One day she found this site on the internet that said you can make money with your digital camera.  So we started putting our favorite pictures online and people started downloading them.  Every time someone downloads one of our pictures we get paid money.”

He went on to tell me that they made two thousand dollars within the first 90 days.  Since they love photography, even though they don’t know much about it, they bought a $500 camera.  That month they made about twenty five hundred dollars….  so they bought a second $500 camera.

Now they both have very nice high end cameras…  you know the kind with the long lenses that let you zoom in all the way across a race track.

As he is telling me this, he gets a silly smile on his face and says “People are downloading our pictures right now and I am making money as I explain this to you.”

I chuckled, because he knows that I make money online, and have told him he should look into making money online like me.  He was using my line… on me!  ha ha ha…

He said he barely knows how to use a computer…  but he can point a camera and take a picture.

He told me it’s extremely easy… and fun…  to make money taking photographs.

“Anyone with a decent digital camera can do it.”

I joked with him and gave him a nudge with my elbow when I said “Aren’t you worried about the competition?  What if I take this up and start selling photos too?”

“Two people can be at the same place at the same time and take completely different pictures.  Look at us and that last race.  You took a picture of the jocky being thrown from the horse, and I took a close-up of the horse’s injury as it ran on without a rider. ”

There is no competition.  There are millions of people downloading pictures everyday.

Starting making money off your digital photos.

Imagine getting paid for everywhere you visit, just by taking some photos.  I told Michael about my Yellowstone Vacation that we took earlier this year  (see some of my photos here) and he told me that I should be able to make several hundred dollars from those photos alone.

Wow… so I saved a ton of money on gasoline during the drive, and now I can make money from the photos that I took?  Unbelievable…

The best part, is that once you put the photos online, you keep making money from them as long as people download them.  This means you could make money for years and years on one photo alone!

Who knows…  I might be able to make a profit on going on vacations like Michael and Sheila are doing.

I must tell you that I didn’t begin by learning what is called “The Law of Attraction”.  In fact my wife and I began using this power in the later 90’s.   We called it “Bending Reality”.   Somehow we realized that we could bend or change our reality by using our minds.   I never thought of it as a attracting change…   and honestly I still think that our definition of “bending reality” is probably more accurate than “Law of Attraction”, which is how it has become known today.

Once I had this realization, that I could bend and change my reality, everything began changing in my life.  I think people around me noticed even faster than I did.

Looking back, I would have to say that I am as near opposite of who I use to be as is humanly possible.

I use to be very high strung and now I am relaxed.

I use to be a bouncer at a bar and I engaged in physical confrontations nightly…. Now I am a peace seeker and have not been in a any kind of physical confrontation since 1999.

I use to drink alcohol daily and now I rarely ever drink and if I do it is in moderation.

I use to be quick tempered… I use to have anxiety… I use to be stressed out all the time… I use to hold grudges for years…. Now I am the opposite of these as well.

Words can not describe it, but I live in a completely different world now.

Where I USE to attract conflicts everywhere I went, life now runs smoothly for me.

Where I use to have lack I now have abundance.

Where I use to have a job, I now have multiple streams of income.

I don’t take life so seriously now. I see messages in my environment daily… like little winks from the universe.  I often recognize external manifestations as previous internal thoughts and feelings.

Whenever I see something I desire, or a change I want to occur in life, I simply write it on my Manifesting Card and I KNOW that change will take place.  I have learned to trust in the universe to care for me.

I used to hate life and hate a lot of people… now I love life and everyone and everything in it.

I use to expect the worst and I usually received it.  Now I expect the best and usually get that.

I use to weight 120lbs more than I currently weigh, and I use to try to loose weight.

I use to attract misery to myself and I had a tendency to wallow in it.   Now I attract situations with happy endings and fun-filled adventure.

I guess my old life was spent warring with the world and focused on destruction while I am now at peace with my past and focus on creation and helping of others.

I use to serve people spirits (alcohol) for a living, which was damaging to their bodies, and now I serve people uplifting spiritual writings and focus on healing peoples spirits and bodies.

I use to save every cent I scraped together…  I was a real penny pincher. I would forgo enjoyment for the security of money in the bank.  I always expected a “rainy day”, and I often had them. I didn’t take vacations because I would rather have more money. Now I live mostly in a state of enjoyment. I take many vacations and I always know that the money will take care of itself. It always does.  I expect sunny days and that is what I tend to receive.

My life has truly done a 180 degree turn around.

Once you know the truth… really KNOW it… you can never go back.

I don’t mean forcing yourself to believe a certain thing. I don’t mean choosing to believe a certain thing. I mean discovering a truth larger than you… larger than words… once you do this… you can never turn back.

It’s similar to telling a child that there is no Santa. No matter how hard you try, once you realize that there is no Santa, you can never go back to believing in Santa. No matter how hard you try.

I have done my best to put everything I have discovered into a single course.

Godaddy.com for example almost always has a coupon running that will save you 5% – 20% on your order.  When I am purchasing domains I simply type in “godaddy coupon” into Google and visit the top pages that show up in the results and quickly get a coupon such as “BTPS7” which gives me 20% off my order of $50 or more.

There is another side to coupons though…   a darker side if you will.   Many people online are addicted to saving money and they may spend hours searching for a coupon to save a few bucks.  Some will even refuse to make a purchase at all unless they find a coupon for the site in question.

How does coupon shopping cost you money?

1) If you spend more than a few minutes of your time searching for a coupon, you are losing money on lost time.  Time is your most valuable resource.  No matter how much money you have you can never purchase more time.

There are people who will spend 4 hours searching for a $5 coupon.  Now ask yourself how much money could you have earned during that 4 hours?  Even with an hourly job paying minimum wage (in Washington State) you would have made $30.  If you work from home like me,  you could have set up a stream of income that would bring in $100’s of dollars month after month.

2) You risk setting up a mindset of lack.

What kind of mindset/vibration are you putting off when you spend hours looking for a coupon to save a few dollars?  While you search the net for a coupon to save $5 you are thinking like someone who is needy and who is living in lack.  You are in a desperate state of lack…  and the Law of Attraction says that you will attract more of that lack into your life.

Honestly if you can’t afford to purchase something because you don’t have a $5 coupon, I think you may want to make a serious change in your life to fix that lack you are creating.

In  Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad, Poor Dad book, he tells the many lessons he learned as a child by watching his dad and his best friends dad.  His dad had a large house and appeared wealthy while his friends dad had a small run down house and appeared poor.

His dad would spend a lot of time looking for sales and coupons to save money to maintain his lifestyle, while his friends dad would spend all his time shopping around and searching for things to buy which made him money.

In the end, as you may guess, poor dad who lived humbly and purchased things that made him more money becomes a multi-millionaire, while rich dad is left struggling with a large mortgage payment.

The moral of the story is if you focus on using your time to bring you money, you will have more money.  If you spend your time focusing on how to get something cheaper because you can’t afford it, you will live a life where you can’t afford everything you desire and you will always be searching for coupons and sales.

Most people find it hard to become motivated enough to achieve the goals they have set.

The key to successful goal setting is your ability to motivate yourself and stay focused until you have achieved your goals.

If you set a goal, and continually make progress towards your goal, you have to achieve it. It’s that simple.

Top 10 ways you can motivate yourself…. and stay motivated.

1. Visualize your future success and feel what you will experience when you achieve your goals. Feel it in the “now”. Don’t project it as a future event.

2. Set a target for the amount of effort you will put in daily to achieve your goals. As long as you move toward your goal daily, it is only a matter of time before you achieve it.

3. Set mini goals along the way to your main goal. Each of these mini achievements is cause to celebrate. They will motivate you further and help push you toward your final goal.

4. Prioritize each task that you must achieve. It’s easy to waste time on meaningless tasks when you could be spending it on the much needed tasks.

5. Affirm yourself daily to remind yourself of your capability at reaching your goals. I found This Software really helps when using affirmations. Affirmation Software is really easy to use!

6. Always focus on the positive achievements and ignore the negatives. You want to keep your mind on everything that is going right so that you continue to create more of that. Don’t dwell on the set backs.

7. Do not be afraid of making mistakes. Each mistake is a lesson learned on the way to success. There is not need to punish yourself for making mistakes. Mistakes are your greatest learning experiences… learn from them and then move on.

8. Train yourself to finish what you have started and refuse to quit till you achieve it. It is better to have one project or one goal 100% completed than it is to have 3 goals each 33% completed. Focus is the key here. Stay on target.

9. Always strive to do better than you have done in your past. The only person you are competing with is you. As long as you are always improving, you are winning.

10. Get an outside point of view. Not just anyone will do here. Find someone who has already achieved what you desire in life and hire them as a mentor…. or join a group of like minded people who can further your knowledge and success in your area. Nearly all successful people have someone or some group that they go to for motivation, support and an outside opinion.

This doesn’t mean you should listen to friends and family. Most of the time they will offer a negative opinion to anything you desire to achieve if they have no already achieved it. That is why you want to find an individual or a group who has already achieved some degree of success.

Most people would never consider working for free as a way to become wealthy.

No, I have not lost my mind as you will soon see.

In fact, after reading this article, you may find yourself on a new path to wealth.

If you want to be wealthy, I suggest that you begin by working for free.

With the exception of having a job, nearly all roads to success begin with working for free. I realize that most people have a job, and exchange hours for money. There is nothing wrong with that… if you don’t want to become wealthy.

But what if you want to a fulfilling and wealthy career?

First, decide what it is that you LOVE to do. If you love doing something, and you can get paid for it, then you never have to work another day in your life.

Next, figure out how you can do what you enjoy while providing a value to others. Once you have that, you are well on your way to becoming happily wealthy.

If you love painting, you may aspire to become a painter. Love writing — become a writer. I think you get the picture.

Now that you have found what you love to do, you should narrow it down to the niche that best fits you. For Example: If you enjoy painting, you may decide you want to paint exteriors on houses, or perhaps you’d rather become an interior designer. You may prefer to remain true to your art and instead aspire to have your paintings hanging in a prestigious gallery… for sale for thousands of dollars each.

No matter which path you follow, you will most likely begin by working for free.
For example: if you want to be a house painter, one of the best ways to get a lot of paying clients to notice your work and hire you, is to find a nice house that will really showcase your work. Bigger is better here, because the house itself will be an advertisement for your work. An ideal house would be a large two story home that has a noticeably worn exterior and sits near a well traveled street. Simply approach the home owner with an offer to paint the house for free, thereby increasing the property value, in exchange for a sign out front that gives you credit for your work.

Many people will drive by and notice the incredible difference in the house, and desire that for their own home. They will see your name and number on the sign and will call you for a paying job. Thus, working for free leads to making money doing what you love.

Authors, Musicians, Athletes, Actors, Web Designers, Copywriters, Marketers, Pet Groomers and just about every other work-for-yourself business all begins with working for free.

Focus on how to offer a value to people first, and then the money will come. If you love something that does not offer a value to anyone else, you will never be paid for it.

I must be, because at the time of this article thousands of people are visiting JohnDerrick.com Most of the people who find this site bookmark it and return over and over again. So they must find a value in it.

Am I making money from this website? Yes, I am.

I love making money online because it feels like a game to me. Here I am sitting in my house writing articles and putting up simple web-pages and I am being paid for it. It’s pretty amazing when you think about it. One of the first things I do each morning is check my stats and see how much money I made while I was sleeping. I love the internet and I love how it never stops making money.

I use many of the principles you will find inside YourWealthCourse.com to make money online. I bring value to others first. I work for free. Then the money comes as people find value in what I do.

The best part is that whatever you put online today will continue to make you money for years to come. I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t enjoy the internet though. Then it would feel like work. I make money playing online.

Bringing value to others is being in the service of others. If I attempt to bring service to people outside of my house in the physical world, I am limited to the amount of people I can help by my time. I am after all just one person who is awake an average of 16 hours a day.

Online, however, I can create something of value once, and it can continue to help people day after day… year after year… perhaps even after I am long gone. It doesn’t matter what I am doing, there is always someone, somewhere, on one of my websites enjoying the value that I bring, and willing to pay me for it in one form or another.

That is why I love the internet. That is why I love what I do. I hope you find what you love to do and start doing it for free so that you too can be wealthy in money and spirit.

(Finding out exactly what needs fixing in your life can be another problem entirely. The reason I created a way to do this in the first chapter of Your Secret Course is because most people have no idea what it is in their life that is broken. In fact, I had to be tricky to get people to make a list in order to bypass the filtering that often takes place in the mind when asked the simple question: “What do you really want in life?” But that is a completely different subject entirely.)

You are the creator of your life. You are the only one who must live with the consequences of your creations. No one else… just you.

With that said, I have to wonder why it is that so many people readily hand over control of their lives to others. No one cares as much about you as you. No one can make you safer or richer or smarter except you. Sure, you can purchase information on how to get wealthy, but only YOU can act to make it happen.

The ultimate responsibility of how your life turns out rests with you.

Don’t expect the government to make you safe. Safety comes from within. Nothing outside of you cares more dearly about your safety than you do. Don’t expect other people to make you feel loved. Love is a feeling that comes from within, and if you don’t love yourself no one else will be able to make you feel the love that you crave. Don’t expect anyone else to make you rich, no one cares more about your need for money than you, and no one is going to take action on your part.

If YOU are not happy with your life, than YOU must make some changes.

You can either benefit for your decisions or be hurt by them. The choice is yours.

Spirituality Versus Money

A lot of people try to tell me that money should not be part of spirituality. They say that one has nothing to do with the other. You would be smart to note that the people who tell me this are universally broke.

First of all, there is nothing spiritual about being broke. When you don’t have enough money, it creates stress in your life. Stress inevitably leads to suffering of one form or another. This form of suffering ends as soon as money begins to flow into your life.

Without wisdom, money itself can lead to many forms of suffering, but they can all be avoided. It is impossible to avoid suffering without money.

The Wallet Reflects The Head

Money is made mentally long before it is collected physically. If you don’t have an abundance of money, the first place to look is at your thoughts. Your thoughts are creating your reality. More people have hang-ups and negative thoughts about money than any other topic…. including sex.

This is easy to prove. Go to any poverty stricken area and you will see plenty of children running around. These people certainly have very little money but there is no apparent shortage of sex.

It’s All About Balance

A balanced person will have a healthy spiritual life and will live in the flow of abundance. There is no reason for them to step out of the flow of abundance, for it is your natural right to be perfectly abundant.

Money is a physical representation of your ability to interact within the physical world. A good person can do vastly more good with millions of dollars than they can by remaining broke. One could even argue that for you to deprive yourself of wealth, you are hurting others as well as yourself.

The difference, however, is that I approached the Law of Attraction as a stepping stone on a spiritual journey. It is not the answer to the meaning of life. It doesn’t give you the big picture. It is only one piece of the big picture.

Another difference one could argue is that I took action, and many people today are under the impression that they just have to wish it so and it will be.

The Law of Attraction is not as easy as it sounds. It is an incredible tool and if you approach it as a stepping stone you will find a much deeper understanding of the world around you. The Law of Attraction is not as it first appears. You are not just attracting things to you, although it may seem like that.

Let me ask you this: If you are more than just a physical body, then where do you begin and end? If you are connected to everything, then why do you want to separate yourself from all the things you desire?

It doesn’t matter if you understand what I am saying or not. I imagine what I wrote about yesterday came as quite a shock to a lot of people. Just know this: The Law of Attraction is real. It works. BUT… It is just the beginning of a wonderful journey of self discovery.

Dear Jim,
I have the same problem with showers and exercise. Using your logic, neither one of them work either.
If I take a shower and by next month I am dirty all over again, does that mean that showers do not work? If you went for a 5 mile walk last year and this year your doctor tells you that you are not fit, does it mean that exercise does not work?

You see, motivational materials do work. They do exactly what you want them to do. They motivate you. Yes, they wear off. It is not something that you can do once and expect a lasting effect. Just like exercise and bathing, you must repeat the use of it in order to maintain the results.

How often? Use motivational material as often as needed to remain constantly motivated. For most people once a week is not enough. How would you feel if you only bathed once a week? Most people will need motivation about as often as they need bathing.

You never know where you may find inspiration. Today I found it in this little poem.

Listen to the mustn’ts, child.
Listen to the don’ts.
Listen to the shouldn’ts, the impossibles, the won’ts.
