Monday Motivational: How To Succeed At Anything In Life!
Happy Monday, It’s going to be a great week this week, I can just feel it. Do you feel it? If you don’t, you better try harder. This week will be the best week I’ve had because I will make it so.

What do you want in life? I remember the first time I was introduced to goal setting and I sat down with a blank sheet of paper, and I realized that I had no idea what I wanted in life, only what I didn’t want. If you can only think of what you don’t want, divide the paper in half and put what you don’t want on the left side and then for each item on the left, think about what it is that you could put on the right side of the paper that would make the thing on the left side of the paper go away.
Once you have that done, copy all the items on the right half of the paper onto a new blank paper and throw away your original. Now you know what it is that you want in life. It’s all spelled out for you and put down on paper. From this point on never think about what you don’t want, but rather keep in mind that which you desire.
Now that you know what you want in life, write down the steps you need to take to in order to make it happen. Anything that any man has ever achieved was attained through this manner. First, you find out what it is that you want. Second, you figure out what it is that you will have to do achieve what you want.
For many people this will be the first time in their life that they not only know what they want, they know how to go about getting it. Now comes the daily effort. You know what you want, and you know how to get it, so make it happen. Everyday you need to do whatever it is that is needed to make your goal one step closer.
A person can walk any distance as long as he or she takes steps each day toward the destination. The distance of the destination is irrelevant if the person is moving towards it everyday. Always keep the destination in mind each day as you effort your way to your goal. Let yourself, in your imagination, feel the excitement of achieving this goal everyday. This feeling will be your daily fuel that will drive your goal towards you and you towards your goal.
Know this, if you follow this simple formula, you can not fail. The goal is irrelevant. If you want to weigh 100lbs less than you do know, and you effort toward it everyday and feel the excitement of achieving your goal, you will achieve your goal. The amount of effort put in daily will determine how quickly you achieve your goal, but if you are making positive progress everyday, it’s only a matter of time before you achieve your goal.
Using the weight loss example above, if you put in a tremendous effort, combing good food choices with exercise, you may shed 25lbs per month. In this case it would take only 4 months to achieve your goal. If you are not willing to give tremendous effort, but are willing to put forth some effort everyday as outlined above, you may only shed 5lbs a month. That’s okay, you will still achieve your goal as long as you stay on the path. It will take more time, but you will ultimately achieve your goal. In this case it would take a year and a half to achieve your goal.
I highly recommend you surround yourself with motivational items. Put up some Motivational Posters in your office or around your house. Don’t give up. Never give up. As long as you are making a daily effort you can not be stopped. Feel that excitement everyday as you visualize yourself with your goal achieved. Feel what it’s like to have that thin body or to have that new car or to live in that new house, whatever you goal may be. Don’t underestimate how important visualization is.
You may slip and fall now and then while on your path. That’s okay, just make sure you get back up and back on your path toward your goal. How many times did you fall when you were learning to walk? Ever learn to skate? If so, you probably fell more than once, but every-time you fall you simply get back up. Unless you quit you are guaranteed success.
You simply can not fail if you put daily effort towards your goal and visualize the accomplishment. You will succeed. It’s guaranteed.
