Halloween – A nine year old’s story of KARMA
I was Trick-or-Treating with my son, and he dropped his Ipod Touch ($300) somewhere in the dark. We quickly headed back, and low and behold a woman was holding it up in the dark and calling out “Declan?” (My son’s name). We were very thankful. After thanking her profusely, we turned and walked up the street to continue trick or treating and my son said something to me very profound.
He said “You see dad, that is exactly why I returned that Ipod Touch I found, because I know that someone is going to be really sad and missing it. Halloween is supposed to be scary, but NOT THAT SCARY”.
About 6 months earlier, Declan had found an Ipod Touch in a waiting room. His mother had and him quickly turned it in, and as it turned out it belonged to a sick little boy. Now, 6 months later, Declan drops his in the dark and low and behold his is returned to him.
That is KARMA.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
