JohnDerrick.com Has A New Look – CONTEST
YES – There are PRIZES for you to WIN!!!! Just read this:
.
A few weeks ago I redesigned the look and feel of this site. I have mixed feelings about the new design however.
Here is the old look:
(By the way, I could have never fit a picture this large
on the old design because it would have been to wide)
Of course, I don’t need to put a picture up of the new look since you can see it live right now (on this very page).
I still have a soft spot for the old design. I liked having three columns, and the look was more unique, but I felt that it left the main area for the articles too small to work with. You would have to read everything in a very narrow column.
The New design loads faster, and I made the font a lot bigger which makes it easier on the eyes. The main area is much larger to work with, but I only have to 2 columns instead of 3 and the site looks so much more like thousands of others that I feel it is no longer as unique.
That is where you come in.
Leave a comment below this post and let me know which one you prefer! The Old design, or the new design.
THE CONTEST
Begins: Right Now
Ends: May 15th, 2011
How To Enter: Simply leave a comment below this post telling me if you prefer the old design or the new design. You don’t have to say why, but you are more than welcome to.
Each comment left below will be entered into a drawing which will be held 5-16-2011.
PRIZES:
1st Place Prize: $100 shopping spree from Moral Products
2nd Place Prize: One Container of Boku SuperFood

There is no cost to enter, and anyone may enter simply by leaving their comment below.
Legal: If this contest is prohibited by law where you live, then don’t enter.
Odds of Winning: If you want to know your odds of winning, simply count how many people leave a comment below and divide by three (there are 3 prizes) and you’ll know what chance you have of winning. So if only 12 people leave a comment, then you have a 1 in 4 chance of winning! If, however, 60 people leave a comment, your chances of winning are 1 in 20. Not bad odds. Best of luck to you!

Gosh, John, you’ve mis-spelled your name in the title across the top of your page. It’s missing an “r”
Cheers, John
Good one a change is allways good, out with the old and in with the new
I like the new site John. The larger font is much easier to read. Thank you.
I like the new look. Wishing you continued success!
I was tempted to say,
“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
However I can see the New Look is more user friendly. Just like everyone else (including you) I tend to stick to the devil I do know.
Let’s adapt to the new site and
All the Best wishes for your ongoing success. Liz.
I think the new design looks alot better is more presentable and looks alot more profesional
The new look is easier to read.
When you don’t have a lot of time to read email, it’s nice to keep things simple:)
Dear John,
I love the new design. It has a clean look and blue is my favorite color. I do wish the font was smaller, though. I do not like reading larger font. Also, I do not care for the font of “johnderrick.com” at the top. It seems as if it is screaming your name. Hope
I am not crossing the line with my suggestions.
Thanks for asking!
I like the old design better.
I feel the new has something missing.
I love the new design!
Feels cleaner and is easier on the eyes. Calmer too.
I really liked the old on but I like the new one too. Not sure which is better. Prolly new one.
New one.
Hope I win!
I can win. I can win.
I am so happy and thankful now that I have won john derricks contest.
putting it on my manifesting card.
Your last name is spelled wrong on this webpage. There’s only one R instead of two. I prefer the old look because it looks more balanced. I like the idea of larger fonts to make it easier to read the articles but think you should stick with 3 columns instead of two. I really don’t like the new look.
Like the new look! 🙂
Hi John,
Personally, I like the old website design better. To me it seems more classic, clean, and professional. It is attractive, but does not overwhelm the eye of the reader. You mentioned you like the space of the 2 column design. Could you use the old design, but have 2 colomns instead of 3? Just a thought. Good Luck! –Rachel
I like them both and simply can not decide.
Since I have to pick I will say old 49% and new 51%
[…] the new look and to see what everyone else thought about the new look, we held a contest (read here) We asked everyone to leave a comment, good or bad and we had 46 comments left, and from those we […]
I like the Sunrise picture you have in your original design.
I believe it is important to have something displayed in your design of this nature as it leads me to understand subliminally what your products are designed to convey. In this way will I grasp what sort of transformation DVD Subliminals canmake in my life. So I get a preview so to speak of what i can expect will happen in my life. So your design represents you to us the subscriber. What I believe you feel “is missing” in the new design is the essence of “warmth and being secure”.
To re-iterate:
I find this is encapsulated in the picture of the sunrise found in your first design. Color and warmth is necessary to me as the reader of your advert because it leads me to understand what I expect to find about myself through and in your subliminal visuals and music.
