I loved the movie Super Size Me where a man named Morgan Spurlock subjects himself to a steady diet of McDonald’s cuisine for 30 days just to see what happens. In this documentary you see Morgan go from fit to fat in less than a week. Spurlock grows fat, his cholesterol shoots up, his organs take a beating, and he develops headaches, mood swings, symptoms of addiction, and even lessened sexual energy.

This movie really shows that you are what you eat, and if you eat crap like the fast food McDonald’s is peddling, you will become ill pretty quickly.

If you don’t own Super Size me, BUY IT NOW and if you have kids, have them watch this movie. My kids never beg for McDonald’s anymore. In fact, my seven year old likes to refer to them as we drive by as Mc Crapolds and I let him because I feel his term is too accurate for correction.

In this new movie, called Raw for 30 days, six ordinary people, who up until now have been eating the Standard American Diet (also known as SAD), are put on a healthy raw foods diet. The results are amazing… I’ll let the video clip do the rest of the talking. I can’t wait to own this movie!!

The Doctors, and let’s be honest, the pharmaceutical companies that make millions of dollars a month selling us pills, would like us to believe that there is no cure for diabetes. This just isn’t true. The body can heal itself, with proper nutrition and… of course…. intention. Never forget intention!

Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude.
Thomas Jefferson

Even in 1760 Thomas Jefferson knew that mental attitude is everything. Two people can appear to do the same thing everyday, and yet one of them be hugely successful while the other eventually fails. Outwardly they may appear the same and appear to do the same things, but the difference is what is going on inside of them.

I was talking to someone this weekend whom I introduced to law of attraction, or positive mind power, or whatever label you want to put on it. She had been hopeful and optimistic for a couple of weeks, but when I spoke with her on the phone this Sunday, everything that came out of her mouth was negative and she had no idea.

She was telling me she didn’t have enough money and weather on the west coast was terrible and they froze at a dog show and their dog didn’t win…. and so it went on. I let her speak without interruption to see if she would catch herself at any time. She never did. I may speak to her next week sometime and who knows who she will be. She may be thinking positively, or she may have reverted to her comfort zone of negativity.

I find this common with people who are new to positive thinking. You can’t be positive for a day or a week and expect your whole life to change. It’s a life commitment.

You may think that you will have to watch your thoughts everyday for the rest of your life, and while that is true, I do have some good news.

The good news is this: Anything you do consistently for 2 months, becomes a habit. We all know how hard habits are to break, but we often only think of bad habits. Good habits can be just as hard to break. A habit is just your default mode.

If you smoke a cigarette consistently, every hour of every day, after two months you will have the habit of smoking. Now if you have ever quit smoking, as I did nearly 8 years ago, you know the first few weeks can be extremely hard. But, if you do not smoke a single cigarette consistently, every hour of every day, after two months you will have the habit of not being a smoker. A habit is simply a natural state.

So, if you work hard at being positive, for just 2 months, consistantly every hour of every day, you will develop the habit of thinking positively.

Instead of reacting to habits that form without your intention, why not actively create them for yourself?!

In this 7 minute video Secret Teachers Lisa Nichols, Michael Beckwith , Jack Canfield and John Gray share their viewpoints on what characteristics leaders should have to succeed in the world today. Tony Robbins is included here, and although he has not openly used the term “law of attraction”, he has certainly been a teacher of it to millions of people across the globe.

Do you feel abundant? Do you feel grateful?

Most importantly, are you living from your ego or your heart? If you are living from your ego, you will approach life with a “what’s in it for me” attitude. If you are living from your heart, you are there to help others and carry with you a certainty that you will be taken care of.

This is the new world we are moving into.

Sorry about missing Monday’s Motivational. I guess I was too motivated to write it. ;)

I am working on a new project, that I am super excited about. My partner on this project is none other than Kim Miller, my teacher and mentor himself. Just thinking about this project and all that it entails gives me goosebumps.

I have to keep it hush-hush for now, and I can’t wait to share it with all of you.

When you are working on something that you love to do, you are not working at all. Instead, you are paid for having the time of your life, and that is exactly what I am doing right now.

My mom called me up last night and asked me if I could call a phone number for her to see if it was a legitimate home business opportunity. She knows that I work at home and that I have had months where I made more in one month than she made all year at her hotel job.So I wrote the phone number down and told her I would call it. I asked her what she knew about the business, and what she knew was amazingly little. She didn’t even know the name of the product or what exactly she would be doing. She said the infomercial did say that you could start with no money down.

I was fairly certain it was a scam, since any real home business is going to tell you what you are doing up front and they certainly don’t hide the company name from the public. For example, I work for myself, but I was trained in part by the materials inside Your Wealth Course .  Any legitimate business will want their name mentioned as many times as possible and the same thing goes with their product.  Right there, on the first page it explains what it is that you will learn to do to make money online.

If the ad doesn’t tell you the name of the company, the product or service, and it doesn’t explain what you will be doing, you can be fairly certain it is a scam of some kind. While you certainly wouldn’t expect a small magazine ad to have the space to go into detail of the inner workings of the business, you should certainly have an idea of what the business does and what the name of the company is. Can you imagine someone handing you a business card without a company name on it?

Let’s face it, there is is probably is no bigger group of scams online than those offering a “Home Based Business” opportunity. You find these ads all over the internet, on television and inside magazines. They are usually glossy full color ads promising instant riches and tons of free time with very little work.

The biggest red flag indictating that it is a scam is lack of clarity. It should be very clear to you what is being sold or what you will be doing if you become part of the opportunity. Often, elaborate marketing text and graphics hide the fact that clarity is missing.

In the case of my moms so-called home business opportunity, it was the fast talking Don Lapre. As soon as I called the number I was assaulted by Don Lapre assuring me I was about to become rich. I recognized his voice from his past scams and am well familiar with his personal history, including how he recently filed for his second bankruptcy, all the while pretending to teach people how to be rich like him.

I had to listen for 15 minutes before he finally mentioned once, just once, the product name. The Greatest Vitamin in the world. Ripoff report has 61 open cases filed If you type in “Don Lapre” you find 119 cases filed. I am not a fan of the Quackwatch site, because the site is very pro pharmaceutical and against anything natural, but they have some interesting information on Don Lapre.

Luckily, my mom has me to look out for her, but millions of people fall prey to these kind of scams every year. In this case, no money needed turns out to be $35 and then they upsell you into all sorts of stuff and many people end up thousands of dollars into it. Let’s not forget the value of your time. Even if you did only put $35 in, how much is 2 months of promoting a product to not get paid a penny worth to you? Your time is worth a lot more than the lure of a cheap entry fee of $35.

Any real home business is going to have a significant start up cost. You can’t honestly expect to make $100,000 a year or more with a $35 business. If that were true everyone would be doing it. Expect to spend between $1,000 – $10,000 to get started in most legitimate home based businesses.

Research any company offering you a work at home business. Ask for references of other people who are working the business. Find out exactly what you would have to do in order to work this business from your home and make sure you are capable of doing it. Also important is to make sure that you will have all the training that you need, .

If you want to learn how to earn money from home while working for YOURSELF, and you want total freedom to work in any field you desire, I really reccomend you check out www.YourWealthCourse.com   There is no greater reward than to spend your life doing what makes you happy.

Good luck to all of you in your journey to work from home.
