It has been a long time since I posted here.
Far longer than I ever intended.
Years ago, this website was an important part of my life. I wrote about self-development, health, wealth, gratitude, the Law of Attraction and the lessons I was implementing it to create a better life for myself and my family.
Then life changed.
My attention went elsewhere. My relationship became difficult. I started writing fiction. Somewhere along the way, I also developed a serious case of imposter syndrome.
I was attracting abundance, but I was only attracting it through teaching the law of attraction. This made me wonder if it was real. Was I really qualitfied to teach the subject? Despite having created products that helped people. Despite building a business that was making money. I began questioning whether I belonged in the self-development world at all.
Imposter Syndrome. I didn’t even know it was a thing.
So I stopped paying attention to what I had built.
I didn’t make a dramatic decision to shut everything down. I simply neglected it a little at a time. Websites became outdated. Products that had once sold successfully disappeared into forgotten folders on an old server.
After selling my house, and moving back to to my old stomping grounds, other things took my interest. I began writing fiction under a different name. I invested in stocks and in crypto. And I found success in it all.
I have still implemented the tools in my life, and I have had success in every area I focus on.
The Law of Attraction is very real. But it is really just the tip of the iceberg. I’ve gone so much deeper on my own, in readings, meditation, connecting with source / God. My eyes have really been opened.
I’m not sure where to begin, but I know my life is better when I am helping other people. And I’ve been feeling drawn to returning to this website, adding to what is here. Finding ways to help people once again.
An old teacher of mine, who has sadly passed away many years ago, used to tell me “Teaching is the best way to learn” And I didn’t use to understand that. How can you teach something before you learn it?
But now I get it.
When you learn something, sharing the knowledge with others helps you grow. When they ask questions, your answers help you as much as it helps them. It keeps the lessons and the meaning of the wisdom active and alive.
So many people would try… for a week, maybe, and then say that positive thinking didn’t work.
“What’s the point? Something bad always happens eventually.” (that was a real message I received years ago from someone who had just had an amazing month and then was dealt a major setback)
What’s the point of showering if you are just going to get dirty again?
Self development is not a goal. It’s not an endpoint. It’s a journey.
You do the best you can each day, and little by little things keep getting better. The best way to know is to keep a journal and look back after a few months and you’ll be shocked by how far you’ve come.
And that is why I am returning.
Not because I have all the answers. I don’t. I am returning because I am still learning and because sharing what I learn helps keep these lessons alive in my own life.
I have changed during the years I’ve been away. I have succeeded, failed, started over, explored new ideas and gone much deeper spiritually than I ever expected. I have a lot to share, but I also have much more to learn.
Perhaps we can learn together.
I want to talk about what has worked for me, what hasn’t worked, and what I understand now that I didn’t understand years ago. I want to explore positive thinking, the Law of Attraction, meditation, our connection with God or Source, and the practical work of creating a better life one day at a time.
Most importantly, I want to help again.
So this is not me returning as someone who has completed the journey.
This is me returning as a fellow traveler.
The teacher is still a student.
And I’m ready to begin again.
.
