Ask a proud parent to imagine how they would like their kids to turn out when they grow up, and their faces light up and they have plenty of wonderful ideas on how great their kids can be.

Ask them what they want from life and they’ll ponder endlessly.

Maybe we should all aspire to treat ourselves as good as we treat our children and to reach as high for ourselves as we do for our children.  Then we could be proud of how we turn out and in the process set an example for our children.
