How to Make Time Work For You

Is time working for you or against you?

Seems like a funny question, but everyday time is either helping you in your efforts or it is hurting you.  Let’s take a closer look at how time affects your goals.

Time working for you:

If you have money invested in an interest making account, then every single day that money is earning more money for you.  Start investing early and let the magic of compound interest make you a millionaire before retirement.

Time Working Against You:

If, on the other hand, you rack up credit cards and create massive debt and you make the minimum payments on these debts each month, most of your money is going to interest.  You are now losing money each month and making money for the credit companies.

Time working for you:

If each day you eat slightly less than your body needs, you will lose weight.  It doesn’t have to be a lot less.  A pound a week or a pound a month, as long as you heading in that direction, time is on your side and as the weeks, months and years pass, time will provide you slimming results.

Time Working Against You:

Of course, the opposite is true also.  If you overeat each day, time will deposit that overflow of calories as fat.

ANY GOAL YOU HAVE!

Think about a goal you have.  Any goal.  Surely you have a goal, right?  If you don’t have any goals for yourself then your life must be perfect, and if so, congratulations.  I’ve never met anyone with a perfect life. Assuming your life isn’t perfect, if you do not have any goals set, this might be the perfect time to create one (or more).  If you want something to change, you need to set a goal for the result you desire.  Once you have that goal in mind, all you have to do is map out the steps required in order to make that goal into a reality.  Break them up into small daily prices and time will take care of the rest.

Just do the one little bitty thing you need to do each day, and over time you will achieve your goal.  Sounds simple right?  That’s because it is.  It’s so simple that most people overlook the power of time.

Everyone should have goals.

If you are not working towards something, then time will not be working for you.
